I am looking for a woman who gave up her daughter for adoption in 1940. She would be my grandmother and I would love to know something about her. I have a huge hole within my heart that only she can fill. You see my mother was placed for adoption as an infant. Her birthmother gave her the name Jane Francis Allaire before placing her for adoption. The adoption took place in Detroit, MI but I have reason to believe that my grandmother may have been Cnaidian. The local Catholic Charities played a roll in the adoption. I do not wish to hurt anyone in this search. Just looking for family history and to belong.
