Ruth, it is so exciting to find any info at all. Joseph born 1/28/1826 I have marrying Almira LaPLante in 1852. They moved to New Braintree, MA with Joseph's brother John (b.1820) who married Mercy ? (b.1831). Both families were very large. Joseph's children: Wilfred b 1850, Joseph b 1851, Alexander b 1855, Almira b 1857, John b 1859, August b 1860 (My gr.grandfather), and Orvelia b 1863. This was from the 1865 Census. Although, I don't remember anything in the family about someone settling in Taunton (I live there now!), I will definitely check on this. Do you think we have a connection? I have been led to believe that all Allaire's (Alarie) are connected if they are from Canada. Thanks, again.
