BILL ALLAIN FORMER GOVERNOR OF MISS.

I am in the process of writing an article on Mississippi's only Cajun governor BILL ALLAIN who served from 1984-1988. He was born in Washington Mississippi and graduated from Natchez High School and has degrees from Notre Dame University and University of Mississippi Law School. I have all the biographical material I need but I am stuck on his family genealogy and how he connects to the Louisiana Allain's that his family says they descend from. Would be interested in anyone that could help me trace his family back to the Acadians that emigrated to Louisiana and Mississippi and I can take it from there as far as going back to Acadia. Whatever assistance I can get I will attribute appropriate credit in my published article. I am looking forward to an avalanche of E-Mails.
