Hi Jayson, While I don't have a location in France for you, I did find, in Stephen White's Dictionnaire that Louis built sawmills at Port Royal, which was called "Me Allain, blacksmith & mill contractor." This was in July of 1687. I don't know if this helps you locate his origin in France, however, he might have been doing that same work there. Perhaps that helps, wish I had more information for you. Also according to Mr. White, Louis died June 15, 1737. He was buried at Port Royal, June 16. Good luck. Ann
