My posting of a day or two ago apparently did not appear. I'll try this again. My name is Lynne All Schweitzer, grand-daughter of Orin All (1876-1952), great grand-daughter of Peter All (1843-1920), great, great grand-daughter of William All(1818-1899) and great, great, great grand-daughter of Peter All(1784-1867). We have only just discovered through Betty Freed VanAller's posting that the name "All" was originally "VanAale" and that Adam VanAale of Germany was Peter All's father. Can you give us more information. As the name's spelling does not appear to be German in origin, does the name come from Holland or Scandinavia originally? We would love to hear more in order to trace our origins back further. Lynne All Schweitzer
