Joan,

Would you happen to know the children of James Hopewell and Nancy All?

- In the 1850 US Census for Spencer County, Kentucky, Nancy Hopewell is listed as age 49 and born in Maryland. Hannah Hughes, whom married Frances Hughes sometime before 1846 is also living with Nancy. Frances passed away in 1848. Hannah eventually married Jesse McCrocklin after Mary Evaline Hopewell, another daughter of Nancy passed away in 1855 (Jesse's first wife). Yes, he married sisters.

- Living with Nancy is Daniel Hopewell, age 25.

- Also note that listed under Nancy Hopewell is "Mrs Awl" as age 75 and born in Pennsylvania.

I'm curious if the Nancy mentioned above is the one that married James Hopewell and the Mrs Awl is Mary Fox, wife of Thomas All.

If all that is correct, then the Thomas you wrote about is the brother of Aquilla All whom married Mary Polly McCrocklin. Their father is supposedly Benjamin All and Sarah Pitt.

Thanks in advance,
Mike
