Dear Lisa:
I'm from another Alicea branch. My father and grandfather, both "Aliceas" were born in Sabana Grande, PR. I have been able to speak with my dad and all my uncles on his side of the family and can trace their ancestor to the mid-1800's. I have also done some research on the name Alicea and am presently working on three theories: the name is of French origin, Basque origin, or Spanish with Arab roots. I will be glad to share all of this information with you, if you'd be interested in receiving it. By the way, I lived in Passaic, NJ for a year and a half as I pastored a Reformed church there. I still have cousins living in Passaic. I'm presently in Orlando, Fl, pastoring another Reformed Church. It will be a pleasure to correspond with you via e-mail and share our families' histories. Blessings to you and your family. Jhonny.
