Alana:
Thanks for jump-starting the search for information regarding the "Alicea" family. I am also an "Alicea." I have been able to trace my father's family to the mid-1800's; they originated in Sabana Grande. In another resource, the Mormon's Family Library, I was able to trace an "Alicea" to 1795. Regarding the "Alicea" name, it has come to me that it is of Basque origini, though Dr. Liz Vasile says that it is Spanish but with Arab influence (during the time the Moors dominated Spain). If this information is of interest to you, I will be glad to share it with you. Thanks! Yours in Christ, Jhonny.
