Hello, firstable, thank you Lisa Ann for inviting me to join this group. I don't know you, but thank you. Well, my name is Nanette Alicea Velázquez. Alicea is my father last name, Velázquez is my mother one. I'm from Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. I have more Alicea's relatives in Las Piedras, but we're not too much. Unfortunately, they're the only Aliceas I know.
The thing is that my great-grantparent was from Yabucoa, but after he married he moved to Las Piedras. So, I suppose that I have many relatives in Yabucoa that I don't know. I know that I also have relatives in San Lorenzo, according to my grandfather, but I don't know them neither.
Who knows, maybe one of you is a relative of mine too.
I have relatives (that I know) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I know another Alicea (who is not a relative of mine) who lives in Georgia at this moment and who has relatives in Puerto Rico (Aguada I think), in Miami and New Jersey. I'm gonna write to him for him to join to Aliceas searches.
Again, thank you very much. Nice to know there many Aliceas around looking for their roots.
