I don't know if this will help you or not, but there was a family of John Algire ( also spelled Allgeyer, or Allgeiger who came from Rothenstein, Central Franconia, Bavaria, to Phila. on the ship Fane in 1749. He married 23 Aug. 1752 Maria Eva Senck in York Co. Pa., md. 2nd to Hannah (?)by Sept. 1763, he was a tailor and innholder. ch. mentioned in his will 1764.. John, Hannah Peece or Price, Elizabeth, Katherine, Katherine Zimmerman, Elizabeth Barnet, Margaret Zenk, Mary, Sarah, and Zachariah Zenk. Evidently his 2nd wife Hannah had 14 Children of her own when they married. They were in Baltimore County, Maryland by 1759. I believe one of these Algiers married a Brown descendent of the George Brown line who lived near Westminster Maryland. I hope this helps a little, Kathy Kemp Dobe
