ALLGIER, Sevenah & children 1910 PA
I am searching for any information on the families of the children of Thomas HAMMOND born 1842 in Staffordshire, England and Jemima BENNETT from Beaver County, PA.
Thomas came over to America with his father (Thomas) and mother (Mary) and a few of his siblings and settled in New Castle, PA.
He married Jemima BENNETT who was born in Beaver Co., PA. 1853. (some sources say West Virginia)
Thomas and Jemima BENNETT married in 1876 and had the following children ~
Charles W.- b. 1877, Thomas A.- b. 1879, John L.- b. 1881, Mary L.- b. 1883, Bert S.- b. 1889, Florence M.- b. 1892, Martha B.- b. 1898, Clara M.- b. 1900. (all were born in PA except Mary, who was born in Ohio.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jemima BENNETT had a brother named John who lived in New Castle, PA. and a brother named Hugh who lived in Beaver Falls, PA. She also had two sisters that I know of, Mrs. Dean Allgier of New Castle, PA and Mrs. Elizabeth NEWTON, of Ambridge at the time of her death, 22 May 1916.
On the 1910 Miracode for Pennsylvania I find in the home of John W. BENNETT his nieces and nephews named ~
Nellie ALLGIER age 11
Raymond ALLGIER age 18
Walter ALLGIER age 9
William ALLGIER age 14
Also living with him is his sisiter Sevenah BENNETT ALLGIER age 44, born West Virginia.
She must be Mrs. Dean ALLGIER?
I have been trying to trace this family for a very long time.
I would appreciate any information anyone might have.
Thank you,
Linda
