So I have been working on my Alger family tree for several years now gathering information as I can, but would now like to get more information. About ten years ago I received information from someone on a floppy disk (remember those?) in a Word Perfect document. I wound up having to convert it at the time and have since lost most of that information. The information I do have takes me back through several Johns, Andrew, Arthur, Richard, and to a Thomas in 1550 in England. Does this sound roughly feasible? Any links on how to get more information would be great. It looks like there was some discussion here about a "Master Alger Database" several years back (maybe that is where I got my original stuff). Is there an update or status report on that? Thanks, Ken W. Alger Keizer, Oregon Notify Administrator about this message?
