I am looking for more information on the Samuel Alger (born about 1788 and died March 4, 1844) who married Livia Geer around 1812-14 in NY, possibly Ulster County. At this time Livia (who was born in Groton CT in May 6, 1791) was living with her father Ebenezer Geer in Wawarsing, Ulster County NY. Their first children (e.g. Milton, Lucius) may have also been born in Ulster County, but before 1820 they moved to Cayuga Co, NY. He, his wife and many of their children are buried in the Owasco Rural Cemetery, Cayuga Co. NY. In 1850 and 1860 his widow was living with her son Milton and his family in Niles, Cayuga Co. NY. Where was Samuel born, who were his parents and what drove his movements? Many thanks,
