According to the Alger book by Charles R. Alger, Asa Alger was born in Killingly, CT 4 March, 1758 son of Nathaniel Alger and his 2nd wife, Margaret unknown. Asa removed to Richmond, VT 1794. He is not carried on in the book but his brothers, Abraham and Nathaniel are. Regards, Virgil Huntley
