Further to my last posting, I have located an entry on the IGI of Russell Algar marrying Ann Salmon in 1785 at Diss, Norfolk.
I am surmising that they may be the same couple who were the parents of nine children who were baptised at East Malling and West Malling, Kent, between 1792 and 1808, but I have no direct evidence to make that connection.
I am hoping that a researcher of Alger/Algar in Norfolk, England, may have more information. Any help would be much appreciated.
