Alger family in Washington State

I am doing research on my Step-Gramma's Family (only gramma I knew growing up). She was born Agnes Patricia Alger May 12, 1925 in Tacoma, WA and died October 21, 1992 in Shelton, WA. Her parents were Russell E. Alger (b Aug 13, 1891 in Puyallup, WA: d June 30, 1956 Shelton, WA) and Mary E. Kough (b March 18, 1896 in Puyallup, WA: d March 29, 1946 Shelton, WA).

In Russell's obit it lists two brothers Logan and Harry and one sister Laura Shelvich (have found it should be Braeback)

He also lists one son John Lorin Alger and three daughters Patricia, Martha Jasper, and Frances Alger.

I have found Russell in the 1920 census living in Fords Prairie, Lewis Co., WA with Frank P. Crawford, 65. He was listed as his foster son. I have also found him with this same family in the 1900 in Sumner, Pierce Co., WA, he was listed as their son.

In the 1920 Census I found Laura Braeback and her family living in Glendale, Island Co., WA and a couple houses down I found Larrin S. Alger 70 b. Mass, father NY, mother Mass. Also found Laura Alger working as a servant in the 1900 census she was 12.

I am trying to link all these together. I think Russell and his siblings could be Alonzo and Martha Alger's. I think Larrin S. Alger is Alonzo Alger, he was widowed in the 1900 census so he could have let his children be raised by other families.

Does any of this make sense to any one?
I plan on getting Russell's death cert., looking for Alonzo's death date and his obit and getting and obit for Logan Alger (I have his death date).
