Information request: Arthur Jay Alger - first marriage

Hello, I'm seeking information regarding Arthur Jay Alger, son of Phineas & Minie Alger. Born 1883 Tioga County NY; Died March 15, 1915 in Apalachin, Tioga COunty NY.

He is shown in the 1910 census at age 27 as being widowed and living with his parents. He married again shortly afterward.

He was my grandfather. I understand that there was a child by his first marriage - possibly a son.

I'm also interested in information regarding Phineas Alger - Born 1849 in New York State. Date of death not known but still living in Owego NY (Tioga County)in 1910.
