Hi, I am responding to your message as to if there is any Native American history in this blood line. I recently interviewed PAULITTA NETTA ALGER (G-Aunt Netty)b. 07 May 1932 in Huntington,VT. She is decended from Nathan Alger. She stated boldly (as if I were dense for asking.) Ofcourse she is descended from Indians. She says that both her parents WILLARD PORTER ALGER b. 24 August 1877 Starksboro, VT and MARY MAE SWEET b. 10 September 1892 Huntington, VT(were desceded from Native Americans, although she doesn't know what ones.) If you were to look the physical characteristics of our family, there would be no doubt of the Native American lineage.
If anyone has any tips to give to tracing this aspect of the family tree, I would really appreciate it. I realize that it my be difficult to do, but am willing to give the effort. Thank you, Tina.
