The ALGER name is English. Three brothers came from England around the early sixteen hundreds. They were Arthur, Tristain, and Thomas. Arthur stayed in Maine, Thomas went to Mass and Tristain died unfortunately right after he got here. We are all descendants of the Prince of Wales and William the Great (1402) is our anscestor. There were 100 notable Algers in history and out of those 100 ... 88 of them were WRITERS...
