In studying my Alger ancestors I ran into a Charles H Alger who lived about 75 miles south east of Menomonee. He married Mary E. Carr 14 May 1871 at Monroe WI. This Alger family came to WI very early 1850s and settled SE of LaCrosse and scattered around central east WI. I haven't connected them with the Alger family that I am tracking--however they may be related as they came from the same general area in NY.
