This sounds like a connection. Did they have a daughter named Amanda Catherine Alger Comer born 01 15 1875 and died 07 22 1953? She was my great-grandmother. She was my great-grandfather's third wife. They had my grandmother Mettie Junea Comer Lynn. I have Mary Francis Petit Alger and Leroy(?) Alger as also possibly having brothers Tom, John & Charlie and sisters Lucy, Lyda, Rachel, Mary, Jane and Ada Matt. My understanding is that Amanda was born in Bentonville VA.
Any help would be appreciated. I have a great deal of information on Amanda's descendents. Thank you for posting.
