Simeon Alger was born Lyme, CT 17 AUG 1721--see Lyme land Records Vol 2, page 231, son of Roger Alger, Jr and Sarah Stoughton. Roger Alger, Jr and Sarah Stoughton were married ye 8 FEB 1708--same source. Stoughten or Stoughton is spelled Stoten in the record. She was not a Stanton & born in Stonington, CT as in Charles R.
