My G.Grandfather was William Walter Alger borm 1822 in England,
I haven't found any record yet when he came to USA, I know that
he was naturalized in New York, my Aunt has records showing he
has a sister and 4 or 5 brothers.
It looks like the family stayed in St. Louis, Missiouri,the sister
and a brother open a clinic there.
William came west and settled in N.Calif., in a small town called
Callahan.
He married Mary Ann Lyden (Leighton) they had 9 children, Walter
J., William Ivan, Frances Whitton, George Tilton, James Wesley,
May Florence, John F., Jerom Aurther, Carl. Jackie
