Squire ALGER (son of Abraham and Susie (BENNETT) ALGER)and Dorcus PUTNEY, were married in New York in 1815. Their son Abraham, was married on 22 Feb 1846 in Quincy (Branch) Michigan, to Mary Elizabeth BEATON. Abraham died on 04 March 1864, while serving in the Civil War, leaving his wife with the following children; Julia A (married Amasa Delos STIMSON), Mary Carolyne, and Harriet Clysta (married Joshua George CHILDS). I have a book on this ALGER Family, starting with Thomas ALGER,who was possibly born in Taunton (Bristol) Mass, in 1644.
