Hi, Lynn, Nearly dropped my teeth when I saw an answer to my Alford question. Figured it was a lost cause really. There is a gravestone in the Great Bend Kansas cemetery which says Elizabeath Alford. But it's kind of worn so maybe I just thought that was the spelling. However, she was married to Allen Curry and Allen's family was from Hancock County, IN. I am not that familiar with the offspring of that marriage. I dug out the few notes I took when visiting my grandma before she died. Allen Curry m. Elizabeth Alford (she was from Virginia Grandpa always used to say) lWilliam Hiram m. (1) Mary Reinecke Arthur Curry's son Walter was living around the Great Bend area last I knew. Elmer Curry and maybe Herschel and a sister or two moved to Washington state. Is that more than you wanted to know? Thank you very, very much for replying to my post. I am most impressed by the organization of the Alford clan. Best regards, Kate
