Hello -- I'd like to extend my knowledge of my Alford ancestors if possible. Here is what I know (none of this is particularly well researched):

Most of this information comes from Walter Edwin Tynes (1848-1928) in his book "My Pilgrimage", published shortly before his death. Like Walter, I am descended from Jane Alford and Tyra Jennings Tynes. I have more information on that line if anyone is interested; but I'd really like to verify and extend what I have on the Alfords.
Does anyone know this family?
