I just completed a large compilation of South Carolina Obituaries of Alfords and spelling variations (a few Alfreds, Halfords, and Alvords). It is posted to the Alford American Family Association website at http://www.alfordassociation.org/obit.html. Extensive census reports and lineage notes are included.
The collection is particularly extensive for Dillon, Horry, and Florence counties.
If you have Alford family in South Carolina, be sure to check this collection. And if you have an obituary that we missed, let me know and I'll include it.
