My great-great grandmother on my father's side was Miranda L. Alford, born 1814 in NC. She moved with her family to
Copiah County, MS, where she married William Summerfield Wilson. We have tracked Miranda back through James L Alford/
Katharine McTyer, and Jabob Alford/Mary ?, to an earlier
Jacob Alford, b. Dec. 12, 1732 and finally to Lodowick Alford and Sion Alford. I am honored to be descended from
this illustrious family and would appreciate confirmation that Sion did indeed move to NC from Northern Wales and, if possible, the town or shire of his residence in Wales.
