I address you as cousin assuming that your Thomas Babb is connected with the Babbs mentioned in the Tootsie Alford obut you posted. Thank you for posting that as it provides us more information on our Alford family.
I don't know how much of your Alford ancestry you have but if you need it we can take you back to the 1600's in New Kent Co., VA. Tootsie and I would be 3rd cousins as I figure it. Julius Leslie was the son of Julius Isadore who was the son of Joseph W. who was the son of Jacob Alford. Jacob Alford was my 2nd gr grandfather. He was born 1761 in NC, moved to GA and then to LA. His father was named Julius who was the son of James Alford.
Have you ever been in touch with a Helen Steele who lives in Colorado? I'm with the Alford American Family Association, Inc., and Helen is one of our members and is also a descendant of Julius Isadore Alford. If you have not been in touch I'll send her an email and give her your address.
