On the 1920 census, Texas, Milam Co., Jones Prairie there is a G. W. Alford 28, with mother Joann 54, and sister Lillie 17. I think that is the same as Georgia Alford, listed on the 1900 census, Texas, Lee Co., as the son of William B. and Joann Alford, with birthdate of Feb 1892. There is also a WWI registration (on 15 June 1917) of George Alford, age 25, born 3 February 1892 in Giddings, Texas. He lists mother and 2 sisters as dependants. So it looks like you're correct in suspecting that George and Lillie were siblings. Also looks like the parents, William B. and Joann Alford had roots in Alabama.
