Richard,
You have more info than the ALVORD genealogy (1908). Nathan and his sons John and Nathan are supposed to have lived in Brookfield in 1800. John died there but Nathan went to Troy,PA by 1817. Also the younger Nathan's wife was brought up in the family of Nathan SR.--Rebecca Deming. Could the elder Nathan have been living with a son or daughter after 1800? Have you looked for any probate or court records for either Nathan or his wife in Brookfield? Did he own land there? What happened to it? Don't know if any of this will be of any benefit.
