I am just beginning research on my wife's family name.
1. We know that her Grandfather was Harmon Willis Alford, born 29 October 1879(?) in Wadesburo, NC. He died in 1951 in Clinton, SC. He married Mary Eunice Dennis 17 October 1914 in Chester, SC. They had 4 Children; Sarah, Marjorie, Vivian, and Harmon.
2. We believe her Great Grandfather was a Joseph Alford of West Virginia. He is supposed to have fought for the Confederacy. He moved to Wadesboro, NC and was married to a Annie High(?) from Wadesboro, NC. They are believed to have had 3 children; Harmon, Walter, and Frank.
3. We are looking for information on the Great Great Grandfather. Name, when and where born etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan
