Dear John,
Can you give me some dates to work with? We have the marriage of Fred and Clara as Feb. 16, 1921. In the 1920 Shelby Co. TX census, the only Fred (born 1897) is living with his mother Edna Latimer Alford (born 1870) in the home of his maternal uncle Luther Latimer.

It seems this is also the case in 1900 where Edna and children Luther (born 1892) and Freddie (born 1895?) are living with the Latimers. This census has Edna born in LA in 1870. In 1920, she was born in TX.

We have a Shelby County marriage for J. T. Alford and Edna Latimer, Dec. 6, 1889.

I will check our records to see if we can be of further help to you.
