I'm trying to research the ancestors of Frances Alford (f), born Alabama, supposedly bet. 1850 and 1852.
I find the following family in the 1860 census (although the last name is misspelled as "Alfred" ... the same family is listed in the 1880 census as "Alford"):
Pleasant M. Alford, b. apx. 1817 AL
Lavina (wife), b. apx. 1815 SC
children(all b. in AL):
John W. age 20
Ezekiel age 18
Elizabeth age 17
Mary A. age 14
Frances I. age 13
Daniel W. age 12
Susan M. age 8
Does anyone know anything about this family?
