There is also a Francis Marion Alford born in Augusta County, VA in Sept. 26, 1857. His son is Francis Luther Alford, born Feb. 28, 1880. Who was father to Robert Ray Alford born Sept. 1 1923. I believe this is the Francis Marion u are looking for. There are a couple of Alford in Augusta County researching this. If u have any information we would be glad to share with u.
