My gretgrandfathers name was John Hugh Alford he married Dora Ritchie. He served in the Spanish American War, 7th Calvary Pvt.B Company Regiment Tennessee. I think his dads name was James and mothers name was phoebe Heatherly.. I think place of orgin was hichory tree tennessee. It is rumored that James possibly came over as a boundboy from England.
