We have considerable information on Alfords of England but it is all in bits and pieces and very little linked to any extent. I do see that there was "Alford action" at Stoke Damerel back into the 1600's.

Many of our 1000+ members trace their Alfords back to England but none as far as I now are close to yours. We have a member in England and two members in Australia. One of the members down under connects with the Dean's branch as documented in Rev. Josiah Alford's "Alford Family Notes" published 1908 in London. He did include some information on the Alfords of Devon. Have you seen that publication? It was printed in a very limited and controlled quantiy.
