We, the Alford association, thought we "knew" all of the Alfords of Sabine Parish but yours is a new one. Three brothers and a sister moved there from Washington Parish where their parents and other siblihgs remained. They were Needham Alford, Julius C. Alford, and Joseph Alford (he came late to Sabine because he stayed home with his aged mother until she died after 1860) and their sister Lucy Alford Maines. Their descendants married several Eason's but not a Susan.

How good are the first names you have? Do you have an approximate period that they would have lived?

Our objective is to know all there is to know about all Alfords.
