Dear Kenneth, we may or not be related, but I find it strange that we have kin in and around East Texas at the same time. My grandfather James Edward was married 1902 to Mary Alford. His fathers name was Redden/Redin Alford. I have recently found out that Redden came to Tx from Alabama. that is as far as I go so far. I know that James had a brother and possibly a sister. this may or may not help you, but you never know.
