Greetings, Alfords! My great-great-great-grandfather was Lodewick Alford High, born 1800 in Wake Co, NC and died 1885 in Lonoke Co, AR. He was the son of Samuel High (Jr) and Delaney Alford. Alas, I do not have my notes in front of me right now but if memory serves me correctly she is supposed to be the granddaughter of John Alford b. 1713 VA.

I would be happy if someone would be able to point me in the direction top find more information about this branch of the Alford family (including Delaney Alford's ?mother Susanna Ross) - so far my information on the Alford family is a bit scarce but that is mainly because I was only able to make the connection (thanks to the High Family Assocation) a few months ago.

I would be interested in hearing if there are any other forum members out there who are descended from this branch of the Alford family.
