Lynn, Thank you. I have 2 abstract books about Hancock Co., GA -- Hancock County, Geoirgia, Court of Ordinary Minutes, 1799-1817, and Hancock County, Geoirgia, Court of Ordinary Minutes, 1817-1837. In both of these books, there is only one entry for Robert Alford in the index (and this entry is for the distribution of part of the estate of Thomas Parker to Jenny M. Hall, wife of Robert Alford) - so it may be that he was not from Hancock Co. I just discovered this PARKER - HALL - ALFORD connection last week and I need to do some serious digging. Also, FYI, Gil and I have exchanged intermittent e-mails for several years because I'm allegedly an ALFORD descendant through Fada (allegedly ALFORD) whose first husband was allegedly William PARKER. Too odd (and so typical) if my maternal grandfather's line of Fada (allegedly ALFORD) should connect to this HALL-PARKER-ALFORD group which is an off-shoot of my maternal grandmother's line. Thank you again for checking and I'll pass on more info as I discover it. Sarah
