Ambrose Alford - Civil War
Posted by: Moses Hamilton Date: June 29, 1998 at 14:20:38

Ambrose Alford joined the Civil War and served as a fife until his rheumatism got to him. He died in 1910, and is buried in Rowley Cemetery in Locke Township Michigan. He was married first to Orra Lent of Ohio, by whom he had a son, Jacob - the same name as Ambrose's father. I cannot find a link to the Oliver Alfords (which link to Becket Mass), though he was clearly in the same city as them when he married Orra. Anyone got information?
