Dear Cookie,
We (AAFA) would be very happy to have any descendants of Ferrell and Phoebe that you are willing to share. We also would be happy to share the information we have. I last found Jesse in Hinds Co. MS. Do you know if he died there or in Port Gibson?
I personally am very interested in the ancestry of Ferrell Alford because my furthest back known Alford relative (Isham Alford, born 1755 NC) married Anne Ferrell, daughter of John Ferrell and Ann Fish/Bryant?? At least two other Alford girls married Ferrells in this family but we don't know for sure who. This was back in Franklin Co. NC. We find Ferrell in Wilkes Co. GA in 1791 (near Isham) and then he went to Warren Co. and Montgomery Co. GA from which he seems to have moved prior 1810. He was in MS in 1810 and then seems to have died by 1816 at which time Phoebe is listed as the head of household.
Let me know if you want details and documentation on any of this data.
