Hello: It is always nice to hear from a true cousin. Yes this is my family line.James and Hannah migrated to Indiana in 1818. They eevutally began the town of Alfordsville Indiana in Daviess county. Hanna Baker Alford eventually settled in Peru Kansas in her old age. She is buried near Peru Kanas in the Alford family Cemetery (1875).This is on Shotgun ridge near the farm that her Son homesteaded soon after the Civil War.

IS John A. theFather of James Alford? I have info that his father is Thomas Alford ( B. 1748) is this a wrong assumption??? What do yo have??
