Greetings List mates:

I am looking for info on James Alford (B. 1791) who along with his wife Hannah Baker(1791) left Giles Co. Virgina in 1818. HE ended up in Daviess Co Indiana and settled the town Alfordsvile. It is stated that he was called " Captian" by friends and aquaintances. I am having troubles finding out why. Any ideas???
