Could you send me copies of those probate records? I will gladly pay for copies and postage. Will send address and other questions. Mainly would like to know what evidence you have for Sarah's name being BLACKMAN? Also early Wayne Co. NC deeds have Alee/Alcee as a possible name for William's wife. I was wondering if Sarah was a second wife, possibly previously married to Benj. Sherrod. William seems to have had some interactions with her prior to 1790.
