Hi Mauro,

My grandfather Louie Alfonso(changed his name to Alphonse) b. 1895 on a train in Bordo, France, was from Morrone del Sannio and his father's name was John (killed by a german soldier hiding in his barn in 1944)and his mother was Maria Amoruso Alfonso (b. Ripabottoni). My grandfather came to the US in 1908 with his uncle John who spelled his last name Alphonso.

His sisters were, Kale(m. Joe Lanni) and Christine(m. Saltarelli). His uncle was John Mario b. in Spain. His other uncle lived in Naples who married a woman from the PI. His grandfather lived in Spain and had red hair.

In the early 1960's my grandfather gave the deed to the Alfonso land in Italy to Kale and Joe Lanni's son.
