Thank you for your response. You are correct in that it is possible that all three major religions bore the name Alfaro. However, I was not speaking in a patronymic sense. I was speaking in a sense of genealogy, tracing one's family line. The Holy office of the Catholic Church of Spain identified the name as Sephardic. I am interested in providing search tools for tracing one's family line. I and I have done that.
