This is the obituary of my cousin, Alfonso SebastianoAlfano. I would like to connect to anyone researching this family. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, around the corner from cousin "Al, the cop" as he was affectionately called.

Obituary: Mr. Alfano, 91, died Sept. 30, 2000, at his home in Black Forest. He retired from the New York Police Department.Mr. Alfano was born Feb. 29, 1909, in Parma, Italy, [THIS IS WRONG-should be Palma Campania] to Antonio and Maria (Normandia) Alfano, who are deceased. He was married in June 1932 to Frances M. Luciano, who is deceased. He is survived by a son, Anthony R. "Tony"; a daughter, Marie "Terry" Dean; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter; a sister, Julia George; and a granddaughter, Charmaine Geraci.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, 11020 Teachout Road, Black Forest. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.
