Actually, this couple is of the Alexander line of Thomas & Marion (Peddie) Alexander, parents of John Alexander, who married Margaret Glasson and emigrated with his family to America in 1736.Just how this particular James relates to our line (the Glasgow Alexander's in dna research)is still open to speculation, but related we are (my guess is that Andrew Alexander was likely a first or second cousin of John, mentioned above), via the following, courtesy of D. Mike Epperson (born an Alexander) and found in my CD (part 2) of the Alexander Record II:
3 Andrew Alexander b: 1770 in Great Britain d: 11 Mar 1815 in Union, Washington
County, Ohio
........ +Unknown
..... 4 James Alexander b: 1795 d: 11 Aug 1829
........... +Lucinda Abigail Howe b: 30 Jul 1801 in Rutland, Vermont d: 03 Apr 1866 m: 16
May 1819 in Washington County, Ohio
James' brother, John Alexander, married, had a large family and Mr. Epperson and many others are descended from he.Mike took the dna test and he is confirmed to be related to Bob Alexander of San Diego and I and several other Alexander's who post at ancestry.com from time to time. Thank you for this information. It confirms again data found by Mike Epperson..
